OUR STORY
Coverjack is an idea that arose from a personal experience with boats and boat covers. A few years ago, I owned a typical 20 foot speed boat. At the end of a day, I would have to cover the boat which required me to climb underneath the cover into the boat cavity and extend a metal pole under the boat cover. As many of you have experienced, it was typically incredibly hot and I had to crawl on my hand and knees to elevate the cover. Every time I completed the task and finally got out of the boat, I thought there has got to be a better way!
OUR VISION
Coverjack is an easy way to elevate the boat cover into a tent like position so any water or snow will roll off without having to climb underneath the cover on your hands and knees. Simply place Coverjack in the spots on the boat the pole would be normally positioned, pull the boat cover over the boat and from a comfortable position outside the boat push the up button on the FOB to raise the cover to the desired height. When you want to remove the cover, use the down button on the FOB and remove Coverjack from the boat or simply store it inside your boat for later use.
TECHNOLOGY
The main component of Coverjack is a linear actuator that will raise and lower your boat cover from a comfortable position outside the boat. It is powered by a rechargeable battery with a transmitter that responds to a FOB. Your FOB will have an up and down button that will extend the Coverjack 48 inches in height. When Coverjack is not in use and ready to be stored it is 24 inches long. It will be waterproof and will weigh about the weight of a gallon of milk for easy storage. Attachments will be available in the future to connect multiple Coverjacks to each other to form a firm “spine” from one end of the boat to the other.
